OnePlus is set to expand the Ace 2-series in the homegrown market in China with the launch of a new flagship handset. The new smartphone- Ace 2 Pro is going to be the most powerful smartphone in the series and is said to share specifications with Realme’s GT 5.
The Ace 2 Pro is going to be the successor of the OnePlus Ace Pro, which was launched last year. Notably, the Ace Pro was the rebranded version of India’s OnePlus 10T.
OnePlus, via Weibo, has confirmed that the flagship smartphone will arrive on August 16.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has kickstarted accepting pre-orders for the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro through its official online store.
Let’s take a closer look at the key specifications of the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro.
To begin with, the smartphone is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and will be accompanied by up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The crazy amount of RAM and internal storage should enable a seamless multitasking experience.
Moving on, the smartphone is rumored to come with a 6.7-inch 1.5K OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is said to include an alert slider as well as an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The leaked images show two colors- Cyan and Black and show a triple-lens rear camera unit, a curved display, and a hole punch cutout in the center.
The smartphone’s triple back camera arrangement is tipped to feature a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor, and a 2MP shooter. It may also feature a 16MP selfie camera. For battery and charging, the Ace 2 Pro will most likely be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 100W rapid charging.
The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will be available on August 16 with the launch ceremony expected to take place in China at 2:30 pm local time (12 pm IST), as per a Chinese written teaser poster released by the firm on Weibo.
