Amidst the growing rumors around the OnePlus 12, several reports and leaks signal that the much-awaited smartphone will make its debut in China towards the year-end with the global launch expected early next year. The smartphone can disrupt the market if the rumored specifications turn out to be true.

As per reports, the OnePlus 12 will come equipped with 24GB RAM and will be fuelled by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship Soc. That’s a whole lot of RAM for one handset; however, it isn’t something new. The recently introduced OnePlus Ace 2 Pro also has 24GB RAM but the handset is yet to be announced in India

It is also worth noting that the current flagship OnePlus handset- OnePlus 11 maxes out at 16GB RAM and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform.

Besides the massive 24GB of RAM, the upcoming OnePlus flagship is expected to be powered by a 5,400mAh battery cell coupled with 100W fast charging, and 50W wireless charging

According to a report by Techtrackr.net, the OnePlus 12 will most likely feature a 6.7-inch 2K resolution display with curved edges, and high-frequency dimming. The smartphone will include a triple camera setup on the back, featuring a 50MP SonyIMX9 primary sensor, a 50MP ultra wide-angle camera, and a 64MP 3x periscope camera. For selfies, the OnePlus 12 will likely boast a 32MP camera sensor.

We expect the OnePlus 12 to come running on the OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14. OnePlus can unveil the handset with 1TB of storage as the top-of-the-line variant.

Moving on, the OnePlus 12 is tipped to also include a small optical fingerprint scanner built into the display and a metal center frame.

Seeing these rumored specs, we can say that the next OnePlus flagship will surely give Samsung and other smartphone brands a tough time in the flagship arena. We expect OnePlus to unveil the OnePlus 12 by the end of 2023.
