TECNO, known for its successful foray into the Indian smartphone market in 2017, is set to make its inaugural entry into the laptop category. The company has announced its imminent venture into the crowded laptop market in India, poised to challenge the legacy PC makers and new brands such as Realme and Xiaomi.
The forthcoming MEGABOOK T1 series, the maiden offering in TECNO’s laptop portfolio, is said to come in a sleek form factor and an array of vibrant color options. Measuring less than 15mm in thickness and weighing 1.56 kg, the notebook seems to be aimed at buyers who seek on-the-go productivity.
Tecno also mentions that the MEGABOOK T1 series is engineered to cater to users’ demands for high performance and portability. Users can anticipate up to 16GB of RAM, expansive storage options of up to 1TB SSD, and the potent capabilities of 11th Gen Intel Core processors, including the formidable i7 variant.
The company is also placing big bets on the notebooks’ battery life; however, hasn’t revealed any figures so far. The MEGABOOK T1 notebook is also touted to ace durability, thanks to its nano-aluminum alloy body.
TECNO will unveil the MEGABOOK T1 series in the coming days, accompanied by an early bird sale, promising attractive offers.
Tecno hasn’t shared any details on the notebooks’ display size, screen type, keypad, audio, and connectivity features. We expect the notebooks to come in different screen sizes with Full HD+ displays with respectable peak brightness levels.
Stay tuned for updates on TECNO’s social media channels as the company prepares to unveil its first laptop offering.
And if you are eyeing a low-cost notebook, the newly launched Reliance JioBook 2023 is a great product for e-learning. With a slightly higher price tag of Rs 16,499, the new JioBook brings some notable upgrades in the design, display and connectivity department, making it a good purchase for students.
One of the JioBook’s notable selling points is its “always-on” 4G connectivity, thanks to a pre-integrated SIM. While it sounds promising for seamless internet access, the full extent of its reliability and network coverage remains to be seen.
